Still Doing my 60 Day Juice Feast

Wow I can't believe it's been 40 days today!! The last 20 days have been busy busy so they are flying by! 

I promise to post all the juice days soon. I have them all written down in my juicing journal, but haven't found time to put them on the blog. 

I just got the iPhone 5 with the blogger app and that's what I am using now. My computer is slower than molasses, so it takes a long time to post. I'm loving the app! 

So how am I feeling so far on the 60 day juice feast?

- I have more energy.
- My skin is so soft everywhere.
- I have lost 19 pounds of fat so far.
- I feel great about my body and love how I look with all the pounds of fat off.
- I stay cooler longer in the heat waves we have been having.
- I sleep deeper.
- Clearer vision, like a cloud has been lifted with my vision and thought.
- Almost reached my weight loss goal, of 25 pounds. 

That is just a quick glimpse of how I'm doing on the juice feast, and all the benefits that have happened from it.

The only negative I can think of is, I still miss food! I crave the foods I love like vegetarian burgers, salads, fries, cooked veggies and ice cream! Haha

When I start craving foods I just keep my goal in my mind and remind myself the last 20 days will go by quickly! :)

Next week I will post more juice days and juice recipes.

Day 12, 13, 14 and 15 of my 60 Day Juice Feast

Sorry for the lack of updates for the past 10 days. I have been busy busy during the end of the school year. Almost all the kids sports and school will be ending soon and we can go back to a bit of calmness, whatever that means with kids.

As I write this update I am on day 22 and going strong and happy. I have lost 13.5 pounds so far. That's a lot of weight off my body, and still 10 more until I reach my goal. :)

Day 12 of my 60 day juice feast

Weight is 137.4 pounds

This morning I drank 1/2 a quart of watermelon juice. About 200 calories.

1st - Green Vegetable Juice (178 calories)
125g romaine lettuce
3 celery stalks
52g kale
2 apples
10 sprigs of parsley

Blend and strain with the nut milk bags.

This only made just over a half quart.

2nd - Fruit Juice (350 calories)

quarter of a watermelon

Blend and strain.

3rd - Green Vegetable Juice (256 calories)
1 cucumber
4 celery stalks
240g romaine lettuce
67g kale
2 apples

Blend and strain. Made a quart.

4th - Fruit Juice (350 calories)

a quarter of a Watermelon

Blend and strain. made a quart



 Calories for today are 1143.

Day 13 of my 60 Day Juice Feast 

I forgot to do my weight today. Hopefully there is a nice drop for recording tomorrow.

1st Green Vegetable Juice (125 calories)
1 full cucumber
7g parsley
55g kale
3 celery stalks
57g spinach
1 pear

Blend and strain. Made almost a full quart.


2nd - Fruit Juice (200 calories)

4 oranges 

I made juice int he citrus orange rotators. It was very refreshing. made a bit more than half quart.

3rd- Green Vegetable Juice  (231 calories)
185g romaine lettuce
1 cucumber (427g)
4 celery stalks
2 apples

blend and strain. Made a full quart.


4th- Fruit Juice  (350 calories)
A quarter of a watermelon

blend and strain.

Day 14 of my 60 Day Juice Feast

 Weight today was 136.2 pounds. Lost 10 pounds so far!!

1st - Green Vegetable Juice (201 calories)
171g romaine lettuce
115g kale
1 cucumber
4 celery ctalks
2 cups watemelon

Blend and strain. made a whole quart.

2nd Green Vegetable Juice (156 calories)
3 celery
1/2 cucumber
237g romaine lettuce
2 apples

Blend and strain. Very close to a full quart

3rd Fruit Juice (300 calories)

6 oranges juiced on the citrus rotating thing

made about 3/4 of a quart

4th - Green Vegetable Juice (316 calories)
3 celery
2 apples
10 carrots
30g kale

Blend and strain. Made 3/4 quarts.


Day 15 of my 60 Day Juice Feast

Weight is 136.2 pounds.

1st Fruit Juice (350 calories)
a quarter of a watermelon

Blend and strain. yum yum

2nd Green Vegetable Juice (222 calories)
1 full cucumber
259g romaine lettuce
65g kale
4 celery stalks
2 apples

Blend and strain
 

3rd Fruit Juice (400 calories)
8 oranges

used a citrus juicer.


I only made 3 juices today. Was super busy. I also had a quart of lemon water.


Well There is 4 days worth of juices from my juice feast. Hope these posts are helping you on your own journey, or future juice feast.

Sorry for my delay I have been busy writing articles online, and busy with kidlets. I didn't even realize it has been over two days since I posted my juice feasting daily juices.

The days seem to be going faster and I have no problem drinking all the juice for the day. I am loving the tastes, and I pretty much stick with what I know I like and basic juices.

The 60 day juice feast seems to be going really well! I think I can start telling people I am on it! LOL  I havent told friends or family I am on a juice feast because I wanted to make sure I could really commit to drinking the juices, and actually have a chance instead of telling them and not completing the 60 days and look like a failure! Do you know what I mean?!

Day 1 and 2 of my 60 Day Juice Feast!!


You might be wondering if you read that title right?!

Yes, yes you did! I am embarking on a 60 day juice feast, which you can read about everyday right here! For detailed info about what a Juice Feast is, check out JuiceFeasting.com.  I have read a lot about juice feasting, and have tried to do one when I was about 24 years old. I hated the green juice I made so much and I only lasted 3 days on the feast.

This salad was so delish!! I love eating raw food dishes. As I write this I am trying to make my meal plans 90% raw foods and 10% healthy cooked vegan. This dish definitely helps keep me on the steady raw path.

Simple low sugar mini apple pie!


These are great for school lunches! My 5 year old loves them in his lunch. Each mini apple pie has about a quarter of an apple in it.

Any apples will taste good in the pies so grab your favorite apples and start peeling!! :)

Low Fat Raw Chili



This is Raw, Vegan, Gluten Free, and Super Healthy! I make it for lunch and supper.

I am not a fan of tomatoes. Something about raw tomatoes makes my tong want to spit it out. I choke them down because I know they are very healthy and hope if I eat enough my taste buds will eventually like them. Hasn't worked yet in the years I've been trying, but hey it might just happen!?

Raw Lettuce Wraps


While shopping this morning I found a huge bunch of Red Swiss Chard Leaves and started drooling at the thought of some raw wraps. When I got home I went to work at creating these wraps. I first made one and that was sooo good I made two more. I am still full from my lunch wraps. :)

Guacamole and Salad Dressing!

I love guacamole! It's so good for you and tastes amazing on marinated mushrooms, corn chips, flax crackers and even salad!! I often use it for salad dressing!

Are we over protecting our children and turning them into adult wimps?!

I recently read a very well written article about how children are growing up to be wimps. Now name calling isn't nice, but in this case it's kind of true. I am guilty of overly cushioning my children. I hate seeing their sad faces or hurt feelings, or bleeding knees from a playground "accident". So I try to protect them and put them in a tight bubble. I tell them how to act and what to do and not do. "Don't talk like that, don't make that loud noise, don't go on that you could get hurt!" I do it out of love, but after reading this article I feel I may have been wrong. Maybe letting them make that annoying sounds once in a while, or running all over the house cause they feel like it wouldn't be a bad thing. Maybe parents just need to "lighten up and chill out" a bit more so they can be their own person and make these little decisions in their life.

Skating is fun!

My daughter  has been taking skating lessons since October. When she started she could hardly stay on her feet. In the last month and a half she has improved so much its so great to see the money was well spent! (not like the dance lessons she quit half way through) lol.

After one of her skating lessons we stayed for public skating and my 2 year old was so excited to try skate!
